250 to 185 pounds. ex-smoker (4 pack a day) Couch Potato turned Runner!

The beginning of this summer I was pushing 250 pounds

I decided in June enough was enough, I needed to lose the weight. I knew it was possible, other people do it why can't I ? I set out to do it but deep down I don't know if I really felt I would succeed at it. It's now going on October and I have reached my goal and then some. I have quit smoking, I have started running. Running has helped me so much, a sense of accomplishment I get from it, even the aches and pains !
I have not followed any crazy diet, I am eating healthier, no more processed foods, only whole foods, whole grains, lots of fresh fish, vegetables etc... and I count calories, I have an iPhone and have the loseit! app installed http://loseit.com/ It has made keeping track of my daily calorie intake so much easier, wherever I go I have my iPhone so I can always count my calories.
